Sandie Band - September 28-October 2

Hey Band!

This is the beginning of three very big weeks for the Golden Sandie Band. You will have the opportunity to show just how hard you have worked since July and August and the chance to perform in front of large audiences who are there for you and appreciate a quality performance. Included in this newsletter are the schedules for this Friday and Saturday, and the following two week’s contest schedules.

Grades will be turned in Friday.

Students with a grade below 70 will not be eligible for Pre-UIL or UIL contest. You need to do everything possible this week to take care of incomplete work, make up tests and attend tutorials so that you are eligible for the second six weeks.

Music Playoff- Section Rehearsals

This is the final week to get music played off and receive credit for this six weeks. Failure to attempt will result in a failing grade.
Section rehearsals will begin this week – Bring region music with your name on it, measures numbered and a pencil. Section rehearsals will last for 45 minutes. Attendance and work done during this time will be part of the six weeks grade. Section rehearsal schedule is attached.

Travel Procedures

Please look at the band handbook concerning our travel policies and procedures. Since this will be our first out of town trip and the first overnight for the marching band it is important that everyone understand our expectations. Forms from the band handbook are due immediately.
